Dr. Glynda R. McConville earned her dental degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill before receiving her orthodontic training at New York University. A Board Certified orthodontist, she has been practicing dentistry since 1999. Dr. McConville stays abreast of the latest technological advances in her field with continuing education courses and active memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the North Carolina Dental Society.
Her husband, Parker McConville, is a family physician. He joined his father, Dr. Robert McConville, at Sandhills Family Practice in 2007. They have two children, Carly and Grayson.
Wendy is a graduate of Central Carolina Community College’s dental assisting program and joined Dr. McConville in 2010 as an orthodontic assistant. In 2017 she moved to the clerical portion of the practice to become the Financial Coordinator and has since been promoted to Office manager. She has four children and four grandchildren. In her spare time, you may find her being a chauffeur, cook or bottle washer for her grandchildren and she occasionally likes to make it to the lake or beach.
Ashley joined us in 2011 after graduating with a degree from the Central Carolina Community College Dental Assisting Program. Over the years Ashley has become an integral part of our practice, eventually earning the role of Clinic Coordinator. Her favorite part of her job is the opportunity she has to get to know our patients over the course of their treatment, then watching their faces light up when they see their new smile for the first time. Ashley is from Fort Bragg, NC and loves being a mom to her two precious kids and spending time on their boat and at the beach. Sunshine and summertime are her favorites and Ashley dreams of someday living close enough to the coast to be able to head to the beach whenever she wants.
Harry served for 8 years in the US Army as a military police officer. In that time, he was deployed to Haiti and Iraq. After the military, he graduated from the dental assisting program at FTCC in 2015. In his spare time, he loves to cook and play video games.
Shannon, a native of Sanford, NC, joined our practice in September, 2016. Shannon wears many hats, and is part of everything from patient care to billing support to marketing. She’s married to her highschool sweetheart and together they have four children and four canine fur babies. When she’s not working, Shannon loves to spend time with her family, cook, shop, and watch movies.
Erin was born and raised in Sanford, NC and has been our Treatment Coordinator since January, 2019. She is passionate about her work, and especially treasures her role in helping patients take their first step in the journey towards an amazing smile. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael, and they have one son named Trey. Outside of the office, Erin enjoys being outdoors with her family, especially if it's a summer day spent on the lake or relaxing at the beach.
We welcomed Liz to Sandhills Ortho in September of 2021 as a Schedule Coordinator. Liz is fluent in Spanish and a native of Sanford, with a background in customer service. She has a friendly, can-do attitude and her favorite part of her job is the opportunity to interact with and help patients. In her spare time, Liz loves spending time with her family (especially her sweet daughter), traveling, watching movies, and going out to eat.
